Branden Root

Lead Pastor

Branden grew up in Clearfield, PA prior to entering the Navy on active duty in 2005 where he served in various roles and locations for over 13 years. During that time, he met his wife Deanna of fourteen years while they were both stationed in Hawaii (Branden with the Navy and Deanna with the Army). Shortly after they were married in 2010, they moved to Charleston, S.C. where they served in youth ministry as part of a new church plant the community of Hanahan. During their four years there they welcomed Wesley (13), Zachariah (11), and Emmaline (9). It was during that time that Branden felt the calling to military ministry. He reenlisted so that he could continue to serve and reach the lost in the submarine community until he left the Navy in 2018. At that time, he returned to Clearfield so that he could complete his Master of Divinity and commission as an Army Reserve Chaplain. In the last five years he has continued to serve in various ministries at Curwensville Alliance Church while also serving in the community alongside his wife. In the spring of 2024, Branden completed the requirements of the Licensing, Ordination and Consecration Council of the Western PA District of the C&MA for accreditation and sustainment of ordination with the C&MA.

Branden enjoys spending time with his family at their cottage in Mahaffey Camp, running, and mowing the grass while listening to a podcast, book, or sermon.
